An electrician in work gloves carefully connecting wires inside an electrical installation
Residential & small commercial electrician

Calm, careful wiring for homes that hum.

Thyme Arc takes on everything from a single faulty socket to a full rewire. You get the work explained plainly, a clear written quote first, and a site left tidier than we found it.

Services

The work we do, done properly.

Each job starts with a look at what's really there, not a guess. Here's what we're asked for most. If your job isn't listed, ask anyway.

  • Rewiring

    Whole or partial

Replacing old or unsafe wiring, planned room by room so you can keep living in your home.

  • Consumer units

    Upgrades

Modern fuse boards with the right protection for how your household uses power today.

  • Lighting

    Indoor & garden

New fittings, dimmers, under-cabinet strips and outdoor lighting, with cables neatly hidden.

  • EV chargers

    Home charging

A check of your supply first, then a tidy install on a dedicated circuit.

  • Fault finding

    Trips & flickers

Methodical testing to find why a circuit keeps tripping, then a plain explanation of the fix.

  • Safety inspections

    Condition reports

A thorough check before you buy, sell, let or renovate, written up in a clear report.

How it works

No surprises, start to finish.

Electrical work shouldn't feel like a mystery. Every Thyme Arc job follows the same four steps.

  1. Tell us the job

Send a short description through the quote form. Photos and rough measurements help.

  2. Survey & quote

We look at the installation, then give you a written quote that sets out the scope.

  3. Careful install

Floors are covered, dust is kept down and the power is off for as little time as possible.

  4. Test & hand over

Everything is tested, explained and certified before we pack up.

FAQ

Before you book.

Quick answers to the questions people ask before they get in touch.

How is a quote worked out?

Small jobs can often be quoted from your description and photos. Larger work, like rewires or new consumer units, gets a short survey first so the written quote matches what's really in your walls.

Will I be without power all day?

Rarely. We plan the work so circuits are isolated only while they're being changed, and we tell you in advance when and roughly how long the power will be off.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. Notifiable work is tested and certified, and you get the paperwork at handover, along with a short walk-through of anything new.

Can you help with an urgent fault?

Mark your request as urgent in the form and describe what's happening. If you smell burning or see scorch marks, switch off at the main switch first if it's safe to do so.
